Baihe.com is an online dating service provider in China that originated from Heiyou.com, a social networking site. The core business of the company is its marriage matchmaking and friend-making service. Baihe.com introduces a feature called ""spiritual matches"" in its marriage matchmaking service. Through scientific and professional psychological tests, Baihe.com guides its customers in finding a partner who can satisfy their spiritual needs during the love-searching process. Baihe.com was launched in May 2005, and within less than a year, it became the largest serious marriage matchmaking and friend-making website in China. The site has 5 million users, with 4,000 to 6,000 new users registering every day. In 2005 and 2006, Baihe.com raised US$11 million from Mayfield Fund, NEA, GSR Ventures, and NorthernLight.
