About iNNERHOST, Inc.
iNNERHOST, Inc. was formed in 1998 to provide shared and complex web hosting services to small and medium-sized businesses. The company, which was based in Miami, FL, provided its services throughout the United States with a growing presence in Latin America. In 2000, iNNERHOST received a venture capital investment of $15 million by Spire Capital to hire key talent, expand its Latin American strategy, and build out its state-of-the-art data center. On August 31, 2002, iNNERHOST was acquired (for an undisclosed amount) by Interland, an Atlanta-based company, which was one of the largest providers of web-hosting services for small and medium-sized enterprises in the United States. Prior to the merger, iNNERHOST had nearly 150 employees and its customer base included approximately 13,000 shared hosting accounts and 1,500 dedicated hosting customers. At the time, it was one of six companies in the world to be a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Products and services included shared, dedicated, clustered-hosting services, database services, domain name registration services, back-up storage, and other application hosting services.
