Kauai is a Californian food store, offering a range of healthy sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other wholesome meals well as the juices and a wide variety of smoothies. Today, it operates under the multi-brand food group, Real Foods with the mission to make healthy eating easy and accessible. The focus is on real food, which is free of harmful, synthetic chemicals. Kauai’s products are free of GMO’s and have no additives, preservatives, artificial colorants, and flavorings. It is committed to maintaining a supply chain that supports farmers using sustainable practices and to locally-sourced fresh produce where possible. Kauai was started in 1996 by three Californian college friends and is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
