As of June 7, 2004, NxTrend Technology, Inc. was acquired by Infor Global Solutions. NxTrend Technology is a provider of enterprise-wide supply chain management software systems. The company's systems facilitate warehouse logistics, customer service, sales, order processing, inventory management and strategic business analysis. The company's customer base includes firms in the industrial, building materials, electrical, paper, plumbing/heating/air conditioning, and medical industries, among others. BuildNet acquired the company in March 2000 but the deal required NxTrend to hold an initial public offering, which never happened. As a result of this, the company was returned to its original owners in May 2001 and functions as an independent company. The company was founded in 1979 as R&D Systems Company, and is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
