Pingtel supplied enterprise voice-over-IP telephone systems. Similar to iPhone / Android, the company's xpressa phones were an open application platform, able to run Java applets to add capabilities to the phone. It's SipXecs open source switch utilized the IETF SIP standard to provide a complete, enterprise-grade voice solution.
