Hi ! Me and my wife Sandra have had the idea to open a Sunny seg Segway tour and rental business on the beach of Fort Lauderdale ( www.sunnyseg.com ) because we loves Segways and there were in the entire city just 2 providers and one of them had just 5 segways and they were 5-7 years old and offered terrible tours just in the park. Another one has just 7 segways and doing tours just on the canal. There was no nice organize place that would offer quality tours and would also offer rentals. We rented a space 1500 SF on the beach for $2500 because it was in terrible shape. We invested over $65000 of our own money into renovation . Than we bought with our money 13 segways for around $100.000. Than we have take a financing on additional 8 segways. We opened the store in December 2014. From then till now we have invested over $50.000 into advertising get brochures in 216 hotels and prime locations get the deals with concierge , online marketing...... we paid this with our own money. Now the store is already making profit and every month we increase the sales for around 20% . In the meantime we got a perfect offer to long term rent 9 appartments on the beach in terrible shape for rent of $1000/ per apartment. We already renovate 4 ($55000 of our money ) and we still need to renovate 5. we do just vacation rentals and we are book already 2 months in advance getting around $5000 per apartment per month. one month ago we got a perfect and cheap location 2000 SF by the beach for an nes shop FUN CENTER OF FORT LAUDERDALE www.funcenterfl.com that we are just opening. This will be one stop shop for tourist where they will get all the best tours, rentals, attractions, excursions, vacation apartments, tickets, restaurant discount.... on one spot. Now we need to get this center running and buy scooters that we are now renting for comission for another company to rent them on our own. we also need additional segways and money for renovating of the rest 5 apartments.
