About 2Eyes Vision
2Eyes Vision is a spin off from CSIC, founded in 2015 and based in Madrid, devoted to developing and commercializing a proprietary technology for visual simulation of multifocal lenses for presbyopia and cataract surgery. Currently, surgery is a growing option for presbyopia and cataract patients. Both indications have a prevalence of >2 billion people worldwide, with high growth prospects due to aging population. There are >100 intraocular lenses from >30 manufacturers available in the market, which make it difficult for a surgeon to choose which one fits the best for the patient. To solve this problem, 2Eyes Vision has developed SimVis Gekko, a FDA-cleared and CE-marked device intended to simulate real vision before presbyopia and cataract surgery. For the first time, a patient can see the real world through a portable, adjustable and easy to use device. On the other hand, ophthalmologists and clinics can take advantage of the latest technology in order to improve patient satisfaction, help refractive surgeons decide on a certain intraocular lens and reduce side and adverse effects.
