About Berkley Petroleum
Berkley Petroleum's exploration and production activities are focused in western Canada and the company will be folded into Anadarko Canada, based in Calgary, Alberta. A subsidiary of Hunt Oil made an unsolicited bid for Berkley in December and even raised its, but Berkley's president and CEO, Michael L. Rose, said the Anadarko bid was "clearly superior" to both of those offers.
