BiomeBank is a clinical stage biotechnology company developing microbial therapies to restore human gut microbial ecology. BIOMICTRA,TM is the first approved donor derived microbiome therapy in the world (approved by TGA in Australia last year for C.difficile infection). We have leveraged BIOMICTRA to generate clinical data used to develop second generation cultured microbiome therapies using BiomeBank's Consortiome drug discovery platform. Consortiome allows BiomeBank to culture a human gut microbiome in a bioreactor and select strains with disease specific targeted function. Our first such therapy, BB265, is targeted at Ulcerative Colitis and will enter clinical trials in 2025.
