About Black River Technical College, Pocahontas
Black River Technical School (BRTC) meets the educational and career training needs of those living in Pocahontas, Arkansas and nearby communities. BRTC awards associate’s degrees and certifications in high-demand health, business, law enforcement and technical careers, among others. For students who wish to transfer to a four-year school, BRTC has general education programs in the liberal arts as well as a teacher-education program. Additional options particularly suited to the adult learner include continuing education courses, distance learning and a weekend college for those who work full-time during the week.
