About Boston Harbor Distillery
Boston Harbor Distillery will create world-class, award-winning spirits with a particular focus on whiskey. BHD will lead and champion the emerging American malt whiskey segment. Located in a pre-Civil War era, brick & beam building located on the southernmost waterfront of Boston, BHD will generate early revenues through it's visitor center, mercantile and tasting room, with plans to go to market in mid 2015. The company is made up of a team of industry experts, led by Rhonda Kallman, cofounder of Boston Beer Co; John Couchot, Master Distiller and formerly of Rogue Spirits; Charles Bertalan, COO formerly of Beam Global and Kraft Foods; Corey Bunnewith, cofounder & Proprietor formerly Inspired Beverage Group and Tom Prichard, VP Finance formerly of Boston Beer and Kendall Jackson. To date, the company has secured a 20-year lease on the 11,000 sf building, been granted permits from both federal and state agencies, have secured and paid for all equipment necessary to make great whiskey, and has created four unique brands.
