About Bridging Culture Worldwide
Korea facing cross-cultural training, coaching and consulting. BCW Founder Don Southerton has extensive experience in providing market entry strategies and consulting services to businesses in Korea and the West. This includes long-term support for major Korean groups like Hyundai Motor Group, SK Corp, CJ, and LG, as well as the government, Tier 1st, mobility startups, and large Western mega-projects such as Bristol Myers-Squibb SK Biotech, Songdo International Business District, and Inspire Resort. He is known as "The Hyundai Whisperer.” On business issues, Southerton has contributed to CNBC, The Economist, Automotive News, the BBC, CNN Fortune, Korea Times, Yonhap, tbs eFM, the Wall Street Journal, Branding in Asia, and Forbes. Southerton holds a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Colorado, along with post-graduate studies at UC San Diego, USC, and UCLA. Currently, Southerton is enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law, focusing on HR, Transactional Law, Intellectual Property, International Relations, and Government Affairs. Southerton is the author of more than a dozen books, including, most recently, Korea 101: The Book (2023) and Hyundai Way: Hyundai Speed (Third Edition, 2023). He is the Founder and CEO of Colorado and Seoul-based Bridging Culture Worldwide, a 20-year-old global consultancy. Don, a former United States Military Academy coach, is a lifelong martial artist and Hall of Fame honoree residing in Golden, Colorado. On weekends, he and his son enjoy hiking and climbing the mountains of Colorado.
