The history of our company begins in the Teruel of the early twentieth century , specifically in a village of the Ribera del Jiloca, Monreal del Campo . This is one of the main saffron producing areas of Spain, and it is there where Estanislao Guerrero and Felisa Muñoz begin their journey in the saffron trade. Years later, his children Felix, Jose and Gonzalo , will found the Guerrero Muñoz company that would become known as one of the international reference companies in the saffron trade. Spain at that time is the main producer and marketer of saffron in the world and Guerrero Muñoz one of its largest operators. The processes are perfected, new markets are known and the star products of our company are developed: saffron coupe and ground saffron , the best in the world in its category. The company then moves to Albacete, in La Mancha, the area of Spain producing the best saffron in the world and the nerve center of international trade of this precious species. In the year 1993, CEAE , Compañía Exportadora de Azafrán Español, was founded in which the third generation faces the new challenges of market globalization, improvements in quality and production systems , development of new brands, and innovation and design of new forms of packaging.
