About Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon
Concordia University Wisconsin is a private, co-ed liberal arts college operated by the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Located on 192 acres along the shore of Lake Michigan, students can enjoy the beautiful scenery while still living 15 minutes from Milwaukee. With a strong relationship between Christianity and academia, college life at CUW is based on a religious foundation. CUW believes in encouraging student involvement in all facets of Christian living. Thus, their core beliefs can be found in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and in the Chapel of Christ Triumphant. While the cost of tuition at a private school located on the coast can be a bit steep, CUW offers financial aid through grants, scholarships, loans and work programs. The admissions requirements for CUW are a minimum ACT score of 18, a GPA of 2.5, and completion of certain high school coursework. CUW had a broad spectrum of academics for students to choose from; with over 70 undergraduate majors and minors, approximately 20 graduate programs, accelerated adult education programs, doctoral programs and a School of Pharmacy, Concordia offers students the chance to choose the right program for them. CUW operates on a 4-1-4 academic schedule, dividing the year into two four-month terms in addition to a one-month term in January, which students can use for independent study, internships or studying abroad.
