About Duckietown
Duckietowns is a learning ecosystem for state-of-the-art robot autonomy science and technology. It offers teaching, learning, and research solutions to higher education instructors, companies, research laboratories, and "makademics" (makers with an academic spirit). Duckietown includes hardware (model self-driving cars, modular smart city, quadcopters), pedagogical materials (curricula, theory, exercises, activities, slides, etc.), simulation, operation manuals, a development environment, a research-grade evaluation infrastructure, open source autonomy code and access to an international community of instructors and learners. The Duckietown platform is also being used for massive remote online teaching and learning, with a MOOC hosted on the edX platform, and in the AI Driving Olympics, to test the state of the art of embodied AI on self-driving cars.
