Today, thousands of liters of oil, heavy metals and other pollutants are drained into city drains together with rainwater runoff from roads, parking places and other surfaces. This is in no way a sustainable solution from an environmental or economical viewpoint. New environmental goals make for much harder regulations regarding both the handling of water and water quality.
