Founded in 2020 by experts in computer vision engineering and musculoskeletal healthcare, Fortius Labs is a healthtech company developing software to automate and objectify movement-based injury risk and performance assessments. Our software analyzes 3D human motion from webcam/smartphone videos, identifies risk factors that can lead to increased injury risk and/or lowered physical performance, and recommends exercise progressions to help mitigate these risks. This is possible via two key pieces of IP: 1) Proprietary computer vision algorithms that extract 3D human motion from monocular videos without using any wearable/external sensors. 2) Dynamic Biomechanical Assessment™: the world's first field-expedient biomechanical analysis that uses objective dynamic inputs like velocities and joint coordinations to identify injury and performance risks.
