Goldman Sachs BDC, Inc., incorporated on September 26, 2012, is a closed-end management investment company. As of December 31, 2016, its portfolio consisted of 49 investments in 40 portfolio companies across 26 different industries. In addition to investments in the United States middle-market companies, it may invest a portion of its capital in opportunistic investments, such as in large the United States companies, foreign companies, stressed or distressed debt, structured products or private equity.
