About Impact Seven
Impact Seven was founded by Wisconsin residents in a seven-county area concerned about a waning economy and high poverty in 1970. Before the organization's name changed to Impact Seven in 1972, the organization was known as the Ojibwa Industrial Development Corporation. Its role was to act as a consultant and developer for Native American tribes, municipalities, housing authorities, and non-profit organizations throughout northwestern Wisconsin. In this capacity, Impact Seven assisted in identifying needs, structuring ownership and management entities, securing financial assistance, and managing the construction and management of housing, industrial, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
