Thermo-i is a MedTech startup developing the world’s first autonomous, contactless medical robot for continuous core body temperature and vital signs monitoring. Core temperature is the first vital sign of patient health, yet current gold standards rely on invasive and outdated methods. Thermo-i delivers clinical-grade accuracy equivalent to rectal probes, but in a fully contactless and autonomous way, saving nurses up to 1 hour per shift, improving patient comfort, and providing validated, tamper-proof data for hospitals and clinical trials. In addition to temperature, the next generation of Thermo-i will integrate precise body movement detection, heart rate, respiration rate, and environmental metadata’all contactless, in one device. Combined with core body temperature, this dataset unlocks a new layer of clinical intelligence, enabling predictive health insights and fully automated patient monitoring. The device has strong dual-use potential: in civilian healthcare (hospitals, on-demand care, fertility monitoring, home use) and in defense/field hospitals, where continuous, precise monitoring is critical for triage, CBRN hazard exposure, and supporting robotic or remote surgery by eliminating the need for manual sensor placement. We hold international IP protection and already validated the technology in ICU hospital settings, secured 9 Letters of Intent from university hospitals, endorsements from 30+ KOLs and NGOs, and recognition as a winner at SpinOff Europe MedTech Challenge and Infineon Edge AI Startup Challenge Bulgaria. Beyond measurement, thermo-i’s data platform empowers healthcare professionals with AI-driven analysis and insights, making it not only a diagnostic tool but also a powerful instrument for preventive care and medical research.
