About Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset
Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals. Together with the Karolinska Institutet, we are leading the medical development in Sweden. Health care, research and education are equally important parts of the work to extend and improve people's lives. Every year, 1.5 million patients visit the hospital, most of them from the Stockholm region, but Karolinska also accepts patients from other parts of the country and other countries. The new Karolinska Solna project creates new conditions for Karolinska University Hospital to provide the most advanced care. The new hospital will receive the first patients in 2016.
