About Kefta (Acquired by Acxiom)
Kefta was a leading provider of dynamic/behavioral marketing solutions, founded in San Francisco in 2000 and acquired by Acxiom in 2007. Kefta developed an extensive personalization/targeting platform enabling large retailers, banks and telcos, to provide a highly relevant/optimized online experience across all their online channels, and to dramatically boost their online sales. Its core technology combined user profiling, business rules engine, self-learning algorithms and multi-channel delivery. Some of its core solutions included web personalization, landing page optimization, segmented multivariate tools, banner ads retargeting, re-engagement of dropped orders via emails, etc. Solutions were delivered as a SaaS and included campaign implementation and management, as well as strategic online marketing consulting/services. One of the very first players in the online personalization/behavioral targeting space, Kefta enable dozens of Fortune 1000 companies to boost online conversion by 10-30% and experience 4-15x ROI. It became profitable after a few years and was acquired, in 2007, by Acxiom Corp (ACXM), a $1 billion global leader in data and multi-channel marketing solutions.
