Lamar University is committed to providing quality education to inquisitive students dedicated to their academic pursuits. Located in Beaumont, Texas, Lamar University offers over 100 academic programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Though Lamar University belongs to the Texas State University system, it is committed to a low student to faculty ratio in order to foster progress and academic development of each student. Lamar University is particularly proud to offer a nationally acknowledged business school, as well as millions of dollars in research funding for a variety of fields. Undergraduate degrees can be earned in almost every discipline imaginable, while master’s degrees are offered in an almost equally long list of disciplines. Lamar University offers four doctorate degrees in disciplines including audiology, education, engineering, and philosophy. Students have over 100 student organizations and clubs to participate in, and are encouraged to get involved in research projects pioneered by both faculty and graduate students. Lamar University is acknowledged by the Carnegie Foundation as a Doctoral Research University, and even publishes two research magazines.
