About Lighthouse of Pinellas
The Lighthouse of Pinellas (LHP) is a nationally accredited, non-profit organization that offers life-changing activities, services, and training to blind and visually impaired Pinellas County citizens. LHP's training, outreach, and education programs reach nearly 3,000 people each year, and services are provided at no cost to families. LHP is dedicated to providing services to children from birth to graduation, as well as vocational rehabilitation and job placement assistance for working adults, independent living skills programs for adults and seniors, orientation and mobility training, and adaptive computer/technology training for all ages. LHP also has an occupational therapist certified in low vision and diabetes education, as well as a licensed mental health counselor who went blind as a child.
