The battery-electric retrofit was sponsored by United Therapeutics ’ a biotechnology company on a mission to develop a fleet of zero-emissions rotorcraft to deliver life-saving transplant organs to hospitals. magniX was established on January 1, 2009 in Redmond, Washington.
