About McNeese State University
McNeese State University is a private university that’s large enough to offer a range of academic offerings and just small enough to foster an intimate learning environment. Located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, McNesse State was ranked a Tier 2 Regional University by U.S. News and World Report and has been categorized as a Master’s University by The Carnegie Foundation. McNeese State offers over 70 degree programs through the colleges of Education, Business, Engineering and Technology, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Science and the Division of General and Basic Studies. McNeese is also home to the Dore School of Graduate Studies. With a relatively small student body, McNeese is just small enough to allow for individual attention in the classroom and a tightly-knit community atmosphere.
