New Blood Art is the place to find work by exceptional emerging artists at the time when their work is affordable for art lovers. As a first mover in the online art market the gallery has been identifying and championing brilliant graduating artists for 18 years, as their careers have taken off: progressing through prizes, solo shows, and often significant increase in value. Rigorous, joyful curation makes this possible. Each year founder Sarah visits degree shows across the country to meet emerging artists; every single work on display is approved by her. There are examples of work sold at the gallery increasing as much as £20,000 in as little as 18 months when sold on the secondary market. The gallery has operated largely as a one woman business, by being attuned to currents in contemporary art the gallery has created a unique space: applying the principles of a commission-based physical gallery online, as customers move more to buy art online.
