About Polar Technology
Responsible for recycling refrigerant in the US and South and Central America, we were focused on the highest yields of recycled net product. We did not blend with virgin gas but focused instead on technology that enabled us to extract the highest purity material possible from a wide range of blends. Best known for developing the cylinder exchange program in 1995, our goal was to help reduce refrigerant losses and offset the need to produce more refrigerant. We pioneered blockchain tracking of refrigerants and cylinders in 2010. The technology and processes remain functional today and are responsible for tracking hundreds of millions of pounds of refrigerant all across the globe, proving that blockchain has simple, practical applications in everyday life of service teams everywhere.
