About R.O. Writer
R.O. Writer’s beginnings date back to 1989 in Houston, Texas, where the company developed the first DOS-based version of its repair order software. New users began integrating the original systems the following year, and by 1997, R.O. Writer added a Windows-based version. After just a few years in the industry, R.O. Writer developed a reputation for reliable, quality products backed by solid customer support. Their products continually showed value for small and large businesses alike. And it wasn’t long until others took notice. In 2001, after recognizing the power behind R.O. Writer’s industry solutions, Midas purchased the company and relocated it to Itasca, Illinois. Over the next decade, R.O. Writer saw the release of its Smart eCat mode and R.O. Writer Central Service modules. In early 2013, R.O. Writer relocated again, this time to Juno Beach, Florida, under the umbrella of TBC Corporation. The company continues to support its growing customer base of more than 6,400 independent repair, oil change, and tire shops, and is currently investing heavily in new technologies and software improvements.
