Re:meat, founded in 2022, is claimed to be the first Swedish cultivated meat startup. It emerged from stealth in July 2023 and unveiled the world’s first cultivated Swedish meatballs. The company focuses on large-scale, locally produced sustainable meat and planned to build Scandinavia’s first large-scale cultivated meat facility. Re:meat intended to develop cultivated beef as its first product and plans to have a market-ready product by 2025–2026
