ROC Water Technologies (PTY)
Gauteng
About ROC Water Technologies (PTY)
Acid mine water is a serious problem in South Africa, specifically in Gauteng, as it pollutes our water sources. It is estimated that 350 mega litres per day of mine water is flowing into the Western, Central, Eastern and far-Western basins in Gauteng. Furthermore, 200 mega litres per day of mine water needs treatment in Mpumalanga. The rehabilitation of mine water has been avoided because of the cost involved. Roc Water Technologies (PTY) is incubated with the Climate Innovation Centre South Africa (CICSA), an incubator housed within The Innovation Hub.
