About RSP Tooling
RSP Tooling is a new technology in the tool and mold making industry that sprays molten steel onto a ceramic negative in order to create production quality molds in less time and with less cost than traditional tool making methods. This process, called the Rapid Solidification Process (RSP) was developed at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) under grants from the U.S. Department of Energy. The RSP Tooling technology is based on six patents with application dates ranging from 1999 to 2004. Currently, the company is producing production and prototype tooling for forging, die casting and plastic injection applications
