Sensixa Ltd is a spun-off company from the Hamlyn Centre, Imperial College London. It was established for commercialising the pervasive sensing research at the Hamlyn Centre. Focusing on wearable and implantable sensing technologies, Sensixa aims to develop novel technological solutions for healthcare, wellbeing, sports and gaming applications. Providing a truly personalised monitoring platform that is pervasive, intelligent, context-aware, and invisible to the subject without activity restriction or behaviour modification, the core expertise of Sensixa includes low-power micro-electronics, sensor analytics and behaviour profiling. It has developed a number of novel miniaturised wireless sensors and devices for healthcare and sports applications.
