After more than a decade of academic research on neuroscience-driven digital therapeutics using video games as delivery media, Soihtu DTx has developed a breakthrough game-based digital intervention to treat depression. Soihtu DTx’s intervention implements broad-spectrum cognitive training targeted to strengthening executive functions and the underlying fronto-parietal neuronal circuits. Cognitive deficits and fronto-parietal hypoactivity are common behavioral and neuronal symptoms of depression, which the antidepressant and psychotherapeutic treatments do not target at all. Soihtu DTx solution with the unique game-based realization targets this key unmet need. We at Soihtu DTx are a cross disciplinary team with backgrounds from gaming entreprenuership to academic professorships and PhDs. We share a passion for reinventing depression treatment by combining our experience on science, tech, design, arts, psychology and medical knowledge.
