In addition to offering a wealth of academic programs, Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, offers a highly effective experiential approach to education. A few of Southeast Missouri’s more than 200 majors include: *Agribusiness *Art *Business and Marketing *Computer Technology *Engineering Technology *English *Music Education *Television and Film *Nursing *Theatre Southeast Missouri State also has numerous pre-professional options, such as Pre-Architecture, Pre-Dental, Pre-Medical and Pre-Physical Therapy. A large part of Southeast’s curriculum is based in experiential learning, where students do hands-on projects related to class work and also undertake internships. For example, psychology students might work at a local mental health facility, biology students might intern at an environmental organization, history students at a museum and marketing students at a local business. Student life features a full range of activities, from performing arts groups to campus religious organizations to a number of academic, professional, cultural, creative, special interest and recreational clubs. Students may also participate in community service activities. Freshmen seeking admission to Southeast Missouri will need to submit such materials as transcripts and SAT or ACT scores. Different requirements apply to transfer students. When applying for admission, students may also submit an application for financial aid.
