The Shape Sensing Company has developed a fiber optic 3D guidance system that allows physicians to navigate devices in three-dimensional patient-specific anatomical models. The first application of this platform technology is within endovascular procedures, which today primarily rely on X-ray for device guidance. Our proprietary 3D guidance workstation and guidewire will allow vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists to reduce procedure times, decrease operational costs, and improve outcomes in the 2.8M vascular procedures performed in the US each year. In addition, our seven OEM partners are developing various 3D guided devices within existing platforms, allowing our technology to have the greatest reach and maximal revenue.
