Transportadora de Gas del Sur SA began operations on December 28, 1992, following the privatization of the Argentine energy sector. Today, TGS is the largest gas carrier in the country, operates the largest gas pipeline system in Latin America, is a leading producer and trader of natural gas liquids (NGL) for both the local market and the Export, realizing this activity from the Cerri General Complex, located in Bahía Blanca, province of Buenos Aires, also provides integral solutions in the matter of natural gas linking activities of Producers with the market ... In 1998, TGS entered the telecommunications area, through its subsidiary Telcosur SA, becoming an important wholesale carrier in its service area. Both ratings made TGS the first company in the regulated gas sector to integrate the two systems. In addition, as part of the continuous improvement that TGS promotes in its Quality, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Policy, the company achieved its objective during 2006, by complying with the standards required by the OHSAS 18.001 certification.
