WalkOVR
San Francisco
About WalkOVR
VR users, today, experience their movement with legacy controllers like gamepads, keyboards or, at best, with new generation room scale controllers provided by HTC or Oculus. Legacy controllers, since your brain knows you are physically sitting, can not emulate the real body movement. You move in the game, you see and hear the actions but you don't really physically move. Therefore, at the end: You feel motion sickness. WalkOVR also provides you an infinite space of movement; which can not be even provided by new generation motion controllers. Because they are still limited to room and your room walls. When you use HTC Vive or Oculus controllers, you have to keep yourself in a circle. WalkOVR solves these main problems in VR and provide the real immersive experience. It has mechanical and electronical groups of components; combined with lower and upper pieces. Mechanical and wearable structure lets users move freely but prevents them from changing real life location. In the meantime electronical sensors tracks user movements and transfer them to VR apps.
